I believe God is in control from conception and beyond, and that His design for birth is what we should look to. He has purpose in every season, and every time we carry a child, we are on a new journey with Him.
I work with moms who want to take autonomy for the care they seek out during pregnancy, who want to nourish their bodies to support the growth of new life, and who know that preparing for birth and postpartum leads to better outcomes for everyone involved.
Hey, I’m Jess! I am a mama of 3 boys, 2 of whom were born at home. During my first full-term pregnancy, I fell in love with God’s design for birth and the beauty of how He lovingly met me the whole way through.
Since then, I haven’t been able to stop learning about all things birth, and I love to hear other women’s birth stories. I started studying officially at Birthworks International to be a Childbirth Educator in 2023, but after a year of studying, realized I couldn’t teach birth without acknowledging the Creator of birth! It wasn’t long after that the Lord led me to the Hearthmother Journey, a 12 month journey with like-minded women of God learning to serve women in birth through a holisitic, Bibilical perspective.
Around the same time that I began studying childbirth education, I also began studying holistic nutrition at Nutrition Therapy Institute to become a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner. I’m expecting to complete that certification in early 2027. Supporting pregnancy includes supporting the body with nourishing foods, and I look forward to helping you in your nutrition journey from pregnancy through postpartum.
Some fun facts about me are that I have been an illustrator for the last 10 years, and a visual artist for longer. I met my husband in Barcelona, but we were both from Maryland, which is where we currently live. And all of my children have been born in different states or countries.
